How to Start A Vegetable Garden

Welcome to my 30 Day Challenge – 30 articles over 60 days to learn everything you need to know about starting a vegetable garden.

Do you want to start a vegetable garden but don’t think you have the space or knowledge to put it all together? Then this challenge is for you!

I have always wanted a large garden that grew everything imaginable. However, I was not born with a green thumb and I have killed more indoor plants than I care to say.

In the past, I have focused my growing efforts on the fruits and vegetables I use to make my homemade salsa: tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, and cilantro. All have done well, with the exception of the cilantro. However, I also grew everything in small pots on my deck.

This year will be different. My husband and I built our first raised garden bed based on the abundance of information available on the internet. The bed is complete and filled with a quality mix of top soil, compost and peat moss. It is now time for the fruits and vegetables.

This is where the 30 Day Challenge comes in. Follow me as I start my garden from seed. I will share with you the knowledge I gain along the way as well as post polls to have you assist me with any dilemmas I may face.

I invite you to join me on this journey. Start the 30 Day Challenge yourself and post your own questions and results here! Let’s learn and grow together!
